Laura M. Nirenberg
Laura M. Nirenberg, an Associate Attorney at Friedman & Associates, P.C., practices in the areas of public interest, juvenile, governmental, and employment law. Following graduation from Valparaiso School of Law in 2010, Laura served as the founding executive director and chief legal counsel at the Center for Wildlife Ethics, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that works to advance measurable protections for native wildlife and public lands. While serving in this capacity, she championed a successful negligence claim against the State of Indiana, Liddle v. Clark (IDNR) – a published case spotlighted in the 2019 ISBA Moot Court competition.
As co-chairman of the American Bar Association animal law committee, Laura spoke at numerous national conventions and continuing legal education programs about wild natural resources/administrative law, the Freedom of Information Act, and environmental advocacy. She is a member of the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Indiana and the Indiana Bar.
